Meaford Locks

This is one of three locks that need to be navigated after passing North through Stone, towards Stoke-on-Trent, home of several famous potteries (Wedgwood, Gladstone, Spode etc.). The canals are no longer needed to transport goods and materials for the potteries and other industries, but are now used for boating and provide pleasant walking and cycling routes.
