This photograph was taken just before sunset, overlooking the River Trent. Crown Meadow is a local nature reserve and conservation area, between the River Trent and the Trent and Mersey Canal. This ancient water meadow is believed to have been used as a campsite by the navigators that built the Trent and Mersey Canal in the 1770's.
